DPF Cleaning Sydney — Restore, Don’t Replace

Professional diesel particulate filter cleaning for 35+ makes at our Mascot workshop, plus Australia-wide by post. Find your make below to get started.

What is DPF cleaning?

Your diesel particulate filter (DPF) traps the soot produced by your engine and burns it off automatically during regeneration. Over time — especially with short, stop-start city driving — soot and ash build up faster than the filter can clear, eventually blocking it and triggering warning lights, power loss or limp mode.

A new DPF can cost $3,000–$7,000 fitted. Our professional off-car clean removes the soot and ash and restores airflow to near-original levels — from around $500, usually the same day. We flow-test every filter before and after so you can see the result.

Frequently asked questions

How much does DPF cleaning cost?

Professional DPF cleaning starts from around $500, depending on the vehicle and how blocked the filter is. A brand-new DPF can cost between $3,000 and $7,000 fitted, so cleaning typically saves you thousands.

How long does DPF cleaning take?

Most DPF cleans are completed the same day — usually around 3 to 4 hours. We remove the filter, clean it off the vehicle, test it and refit it before you collect your car.

How do I know if my DPF is blocked?

Common signs are a DPF or engine warning light, loss of power, increased fuel use, excessive smoke, a strong burning smell, or the car going into limp mode. If you see these, it is best to have the DPF checked before it fails completely.

Is cleaning better than replacing my DPF?

In most cases, yes. A professional off-car clean restores the filter to near-original flow and efficiency for a fraction of the cost of a new unit. Replacement is only needed if the filter is physically cracked or melted.

Do I need to remove my own DPF?

No. Bring the vehicle to our Mascot workshop and we handle everything — removal, deep cleaning, testing and refitting.

Can you clean my DPF if I am outside Sydney?

Yes. We service Mascot and the surrounding 20km area in person, and we also accept DPF filters Australia-wide by post. Remove and send us your filter and we will clean, test and return it.

What vehicles do you clean DPFs for?

We clean diesel particulate filters for over 35 makes including BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Toyota, Ford, Holden, Nissan, Mazda, Hyundai, Isuzu and many more — passenger cars, 4WDs, utes and vans.

Will DPF cleaning damage my filter?

No. Our process uses purpose-built equipment that safely removes soot and ash without harming the ceramic substrate. We test airflow before and after so you can see the result.

Blocked DPF? Save thousands — clean it, don’t replace it.
